Carlie Frost-Poirier, PhD
Alyssa earned her PhD in Sports Performance & Physiology from East Tennessee State University. Prior to that, she received her master’s degree in exercise science from the University of South Carolina and bachelor’s in exercise science from the University of North Florida. Alyssa was a Division 1 Track & Field athlete (specializing in the 400m hurdles). She has experience as a track & field coach and strength & conditioning coach for collegiate and professional runners as well as a swim instructor for people of all ages.
As a former Exercise Science Professor, Head Performance Physiologist, Sport Scientist, and Coach- Alyssa specializes in translating complex physiological data into actionable strategies for athletes and active individuals alike. Her mission is to empower clients with the education and tools they need to optimize their health, prevent injury, and unlock their full athletic potential.
As a former sprinter, Alyssa continues to strength train regularly. She has completed a sprint triathlon and trains for swimrun races. In her free time, she likes to go on outdoor adventures with her husband and 1-year old daughter.
