Marty Owens
In addition to working with The Endurance Edge, He is the Director of Track & Field, Cross Country and Triathlon at Guilford College. Prior to moving to Guilford College, experience much success as the Head Coach of Men & Women’s Track & Field and Cross Country at Susquehanna University in Selinsgrove, PA.
As Susquehanna’s Head Men & Women’s Track & Field and Cross Country Coach, he was named Landmark Conference Coach of the Year on 14 occasions and the USTFCCCA Division III Mideast Coach of the Year for the 2005 Outdoor Track & Field season. His teams won 9 Landmark Conference Championships including 5 in men’s cross country, 2 in women’s cross country, 1 in men’s indoor track & field and 1 in men’s outdoor track & field. He also coached two USTFCCCA Division III Mideast Regional Track Athletes of the year. Between cross country and track & field, he coached 1 NCAA Division III national champion, 13 NCAA All Americans and 35 NCAA qualifying performances. During cross country, his athletes won 8 Landmark Conference individual championships.
He is a competitive triathlete who has twice qualified for the Hawaii Ironman World Championships and recently qualified for the Ironman 70.3 World Championships in St. George, UT.
