Coached Open Water Swim

Jordan Lake Open Water Coached Group Swims

June 1, 2021/in News & Events

Join us weekly in the spring, summer and fall for our Open Water Group Swims!

Skills that may be reviewed include sighting, drafting, time trial starts, group starts, and more. Your coach will be on a paddleboard for support. We also have buoys that we can set up based on the skill we’ll be practicing.

We have the option for beginner only or intermediate/advanced swims, both of which are limited in registration spots for personal attention!

WHERE:

Weaver Creek Canoe Launch, near the corner of Beaver Creek Rd and Pea Ridge Rd. There is a signpost with a green wildlife sign marking the entrance. There is a parking lot at the end of the driveway. There are no bathrooms available.

REQUIREMENTS:

Must know how to swim at least 200yd without stopping, provide your own goggles, and bring a swim buoy; which can be purchased here (all members get one for free! Become a member by working with our coaches 1 on 1 or as part of our group training): https://amzn.to/3ub7ov5

INFORMATION:

Jordan Lake water temperature here: http://wave.ims.unc.edu/jlwhiteoak_avp_monitor.php

In the case of inclement weather, you will be notified at least 2 hours before the start time if the class is cancelled (in which case, your fee will be refunded). Refunds can be processed so long as you cancel your class within 48 hours of the start time. Otherwise, account credit can be issued in lieu of refunds.

(When registering, be sure to click the “weaver creek” location, then select the day/time)

Cost: $25 for 1 hour swim (included for members)

All group workouts are included in our programs, so check out our classes here.
