Restaurant Salsa

February 4, 2016/in Appetizer, Recipes, Snacks

Recipe by Chris Newport, Nutritionist and Head Coach

You know that salsa you get at Mexican restaurants? I luuuuuuuv that stuff. In fact, if no one was looking, I would probably drink it and lick the bowl. So I had to find a way to make restaurant salsa at home. Enter my amazing husband (who admittedly, deserves the credit for this recipe).

restaurant salsa

Not only does this restaurant salsa taste like the real thing, it’s super easy to make any time of the year (no need for fresh tomatoes!). We use our Vitamix, which makes it even easier. Be sure to put the lid on before blending (thus, the yellow reminder on our Vitamix to start on setting #1, since yes, it will decorate your ceiling if not properly secured).

This salsa isn’t just tasty as a chip dip (or your favorite veggie dip), but it works great as a topping for omelets, fish, mexican lasagna and more. Try it for the Super Bowl or your next party. Enjoy!
