2026 Racing & Development Team
The Endurance Edge is starting a 2026 Racing Team and a Developmental Racing Team to add to it’s already existing Core Race Team!
2026 is YOUR year to crush more podiums, qualify for Worlds (or better), and maximize your potential–all while doing it as a TEAM, with expert coaching, metabolic testing and MORE.
No matter where you are in the USA, you can apply to join the team.
How many athletes are you accepting?
We’re accepting up to 12 athletes to be on the racing team, and about 3-6 on the development team.
What’s the difference between Racing Team and Development Team (and the Core Team)?
🏆 Premier Race Team
Focus: Competitive athletes representing the highest standard of performance and sportsmanship.
Expectations: Consistently podium at high-profile events or show top-tier age-group results. Required to race in official team kit at big-brand races, actively promote The Endurance Edge (and support their partners), and participate in outreach or mentorship.
📈 Development Race Team
Focus: Athletes building toward elite performance, refining skills, and demonstrating dedication to training and team culture.
Expectations: Participate in team workouts and a mix of local and branded races. Earn points through results, improvement, and contributions. Serve as positive examples and support for newer members.
🤝 Core Race Team
Focus: Community builders and brand advocates who may race casually but excel at representing the team’s values. Includes anyone working with The Endurance Edge as the Group Triathlon Training and the 1-on-1 Coached Athletes.
Expectations: Attend group events when possible, try to race together if you can, encourage beginners, and share the team’s mission publicly. Podium finishes are not required; enthusiasm, outreach and pushing personal growth are key.
What’s the commitment?
You commit to the team for 12 months (Dec 1, 2025-Dec 1, 2026).

How do I get on the team?
We have a point system, where you get more points for placing higher in the overall or age group field (for any endurance event like triathlon, open water swimming or running). You’ll also get more points for completing long course races (like Ironman or marathon). The intention is not to make athletes race more necessarily, but to work hard to earn their place on the podium.
There are also ways to earn points that are outside of racing, like going to Core Team group workouts, posting on social media, volunteering at races and more. Email Coach Marty (marty@theenduranceedge.com) if you have questions about the Racing Team scoring.
Do I have to train or race with the team?
It’s not required, but we like to see that you are trying to train and/or race together. Plus, that’s how we grow community, which is part of our vision!
When will I know if I made the team?
Our committee meets weekly to review the applications. You should know within 1 week of applying. The final team will be ready by Dec 1, 2025.
What’s the obligation?
You’re required to race at least 2-3+ times in your kit. We like to see you racing, having fun and posting on social media and tagging @theendurancedge. More importantly, we want to see that you’re supporting the mission, vision and core values of the company and pushing yourself with the support of our coaches.
